FRIENDS OF UGANDA MARTYRS DONATE TO RADIO MARIA MALAWI.

On September 26th 2019, friends of Ugandan martyrs in Malawi held their 14th Annual General Meeting at Diocese of Mangochi bishop’s villa after 4 months pilgrimage to Namughongo.

On the occasion, the team made a donation of two 120 watts dry cells worthy close to MK 300,000.00 to Radio Maria Malawi meant for outside coverages by the station.

Presenting the donation to Radio Maria Malawi programs director Louis Phiri, Friends of Ugandan Martyrs in Malawi chairperson (FOUM), Mrs. Grace Kalanda said,

“We thought of donating to Radio Maria Malawi because we realise the responsibility we have as a catholic grouping to help the station in its expenditures. We also wish to express our gratitude for their company in almost all pilgrims to Namughongo, for the services the team enjoys from the station such as free broadcast of adverts, circulation of messages and being the church’s mouthpiece message amongst multitudes in the country”. Kalanda said.

Louis Phiri expressed gratitude for the support for the team as always rendered to Radio Maria Malawi, realising that such a good number of friends of Ugandan martyrs are also friends of Radio Maria Malawi. He henceforth call on other grouping to support the Malawian Church’s broadcaster.

Earlier in the day, Friends of Uganda Martyrs in Malawi had a thanksgiving Mass that was presided over by His Lordship Bishop Montfort Stima.

In his homily during the celebration, he reminded the congregation of the numerous graces that the FOUM members gave always experienced since pilgrimages to Uganda began. The Holy Mass was also offered for the repose of four deceased FOUM members who died since the last pilgrimage to Namughongo.

Later in the day, FOUM members deliberated on their just baked constitution among other things on the agenda.
