The Catholic Men Association (CMA) of Balaka’s St. Louis Catholic Parish recently underwent a remarkable Jubilee celebration, aptly themed “Pilgrims of Hope.” The two-day event, held on September 30th and 31st, 2025, was a testimony of the CMA’s commitment to spiritual growth and renewal.
Enriching Presentations
The festivities commenced with a series of enriching presentations at the Pilgrims’ Parish hall. Rev. Fr. Damian Abraham, SMM, delivered two insightful talks, one on “The Originality of Jubilee Years, Objectives, Values, and Goals” and another on “Qualities of St. Joseph, the Patron of CMA.” Brother Ludovic Jalasi, SFO, presented a thought-provoking discussion on “Virtues and Values of the Eucharist, Confession, and the Rosary.” Additionally, Mr. Vic Malunga shared his expertise on “Psycho-Socio Mental Health, Reactions, and Effects,” while Mr. Chikoko, an officer from NEF, led a presentation on entrepreneurship.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
The highlight of the activities was a solemn Sacrament of Reconciliation, officiated by Rev. Fr. Damian Abraham. This sacred moment provided an opportunity for spiritual reflection and renewal, emphasizing the importance of seeking forgiveness and reconciliation in one’s faith journey.
A Colourful Procession
The second day of the celebration was marked by a vibrant procession from St. Louis Primary School to the majestic St. Louis Church. The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Satiel, SMM, was notably present, joining the faithful in this joyous expression of devotion. The procession culminated in a beautiful Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr. Juma, SMM, and concelebrated by Frs. Satiel and Abraham.
Felicitations
The successful conclusion of the Jubilee celebration warrants immense appreciation to the Parish Priest, Parish Moderator, Parish and Church CMA committees, and all members who participated in this remarkable venture. Their collective efforts have undoubtedly enriched the spiritual lives of the faithful and fostered a deeper sense of community and devotion.
