Nankhwali Health Centre Receives Donation, Enhancing Maternal Care

MANGOCHI, MALAWI – Nankhwali Health Centre has received a generous donation of modern beds for its maternity and labour wards from LifeNet International, further promoting the facility’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services. The donation is proof of the impact of collaborative efforts in improving healthcare infrastructure.

“The state-of-the-art beds are making the wards more welcoming to clients/mothers due to the stunning beauty they are displaying,” the Health Centre’s Administrator, Fr. Ted Chigamba, noted. The donation is expected to significantly improve sanitation and overall care in the wards.

“Nankhwali community is grateful to LifeNet International for this kind donation,” Fr. Ted added. He also expressed appreciation to the staff for their dedication to service delivery. Fr. Ted also gave tribute to Bishop Montfort Stima for his leadership and support rendered to Nankhwali Health centre.

The donation aligns with the Catholic Church’s emphasis on serving the vulnerable, as echoed in Gaudium et Spes, “The joys and the hopes, the griefs and the anxieties of the people of this age, especially those who are poor or in any way afflicted, are the joys and hopes, the griefs and anxieties of the followers of Christ.”
