ACTION MEDEOR Malawi Donates Medical Supplies worth MK4.8 Million To Nankhwali Health Centre

Nankhwali Health Centre –  Action Medeor Malawi today donated a consignment of essential medicines and medical equipment to Nankhwali Health Centre in Mangochi District.

The donation, valued at approximately MK4.8 million, comprised a range of pharmaceuticals including oral solid dosage forms such as capsules and tablets, injectable medications, galenical preparations, and assorted medical equipment intended to strengthen service delivery at the facility.

Receiving the consignment, Fr. Ted Chigamba, Administrator of Nankhwali Health Centre, expressed gratitude to Action Medeor Malawi for the intervention.

“We are deeply grateful for this timely and much-needed donation. These medical supplies have a long shelf life and will significantly support the provision of healthcare services to the Nankhwali community for an extended period,” Fr. Chigamba said.

The facility also extended appreciation to His Lordship Rt. Rev. Montfort Stima, Bishop of Mangochi, for his leadership in facilitating the partnership between Nankhwali Health Centre and Action Medeor Malawi.

“We are equally grateful to Bishop Stima for his visionary leadership and guidance in securing this collaboration, which will enhance access to essential medicines and improve patient care at our facility,” he added.

The donation is expected to bolster the health centre’s capacity to manage common morbidities and ensure continuity of treatment for patients within the facility’s catchment area.
